After the world’s longest hiatus, (it wasn’t really a hiatus actually more like taking a break from this whole personal project) I’ve decided to experimentally return to this project again!

I can’t believe I left this blog a year ago! I truly hope I can finish the 16 episodes. Not that TCOTYL has flat out amazing fashion, it has its bumps too but for me, that makes it all the more fun. So I’m back with episode 7 with much better clearer photos Enjoy!

Take Care of the Young Lady: Episode 6 Fashion

I’m back with Episode 6! School is ongoing for me so again I apologize that updating is going to be slow. I have yet to watch the finale of TCOTYL either! I will find some time this weekend to catch it though. Dong chan and Hae-na together are so CUTE. Before I start gushing about the amazingness that is DC and HN I shall begin.

Take Care of the Young Lady: Episode 5 Fashion

Greetings! How are you doing this weekend? And how did you find the finale for TCOTYL? I have yet to watch it but I read the recap on dramabeans and I’m quite disappointed to be honest. I was interested to watch the show firstly because the story seemed interesting and funny. Plus, the fashion is AMAZING. Plus, I love Yoon Eun Hye.

I know TCOTYL is ending soonish and I will definitely post every episode’s fashion but I can’t be as quick as I hope. I’m trying my best! Also, I will re-do Episode 1 as the image quality isn’t good so I’ll get to that too! Anyway, here’s Episode 4 with 12 looks. I find that as I go along with each episode, I seem to be taking more and more photos.

Take Care of the Young Lady: Episode 3 Fashion

Hey fashion/TCOTYL fans!

I do apologize for my slow updates. My time has been occupied with other things recently and I’ve had a hard time trying to look for good quality videos to take pictures of. I’ve tried downloading and google searching and I’ve finally found someone who has good quality videos. The only downside is that the video comes hardsubbed, which means subtitles are embedded in the video itself.

I hope you will understand this! I tried to take as little pictures with subtitles on them as possible. But there are some (inevitably) images which will contain words in them.

However if anyone knows where I can download/watch good quality videos with no subs or subs which can be switched off, do let me know! Thank you!

So let’s begin Episode 3. There are quite a few more looks in this episode and definitely more Eui Joo which is good news for people who love Eui Joo’s casual style. [*On a sidenote, I've watched up to Episode 9 so far and some of the looks that Hae-Na is sporting are quite ridiculous. *shakes head*]

Take Care of the Young Lady: Episode 2 Fashion

I’ve watched till Episode 5 of this drama so far and the individual styles of each female character is starting to become very apparent. For example, one thing I’ve noticed is how the stylist of the show adds personal touches to each character that is constant in every episode. Hae-Na always sports a clip in her bun and two large rings on one hand. Su-Ah wears sparkly clips or headbands and Eui Joo, for the most part keeps her accessories to a minimum, tying up her hair in a fuss free ponytail or french braids.

Hae-Na obviously has the most amazing and stand out outfits, however her style is very runway for me. They’re dramatic, fabulous, some a little unrealistic and definitely not something that normal people would or could wear. It’s nice to look at and admire though. But it suits her character. It screams money, it screams rich spoilt heiress and it’s more on the tough side. Lots of black, white and gold for dramatic purposes. Outfits that are just attention required.

Su-ah’s style is my personal favourite. Hers are expensive too but more toned down. I find her style very classy. Trendy and glamourous and girly and very classy at the same time. Unfortunately it’s harder to get shots of her outfits because her screen time is relatively shorter.

Eui Joo’s style is casual. Probably the easiest style to copy and imitate. She dons lots of shorts (which aren’t too short that it looks trashy and cheap and too beachwear) and cute clothing which are stylish as well but not as glamourous as Su-ah. Unlike Hae-Na and Su-Ah who piles on the accessories, Eui Joo keeps hers to a bare minimum.
[Note: For the first few episodes, I'll probably feature less of Eui Joo fashion wise because I find that for now, her looks are relatively simple and not anything special yet. But I will feature more of her as more episodes are released! ]

Before I start proper, I’d like to just explain a few things.
1. I will not cover every look in each episode because some appeared for too short a time and it’s hard to take a shot of that.
2. Sorry if some of the images are of bad quality. I merely took screen captures and since I watch streamed videos, please excuse the image quality.
3. Most of the looks I’ll cover will consist of outfits that Yoon Eun Hye’s character, Hae-Na wears. Occasionally I’ll cover Eui Joo’s and Su-ah’s looks as well.

Fashion from new Kdrama Take Care of the Young Lady

Hey!

Back from hiatus. Again. Yesterday an idea came to mind and I just felt inspired. So I’ve decided to take on this personal project.

Recently, a new Korean drama called Take Care of the Young Lady (aka Take Care of Agasshi or Take Care of My Lady or My Fair Lady) started airing and I for one have been watching it as do many others I believe. I mean, it’s Yoon Eun Hye and I’m a huge fan! I liked her in Goong although I didn’t liked the show as much, loved her in Coffee Prince and loved her more in The Vineyard Man!

She plays a rich spoilt brat in the show and the fashion is just amazing! I personally love fashion and I’m just really happy when I watch kdramas and the clothes and all are oh so pretty. So my project will be to blog about the fashion in each episode! There are wonderful sites out there which recaps and summarises episodes (such as Dramabeans.com) but I couldn’t find any which covered the fashion aspect. I like to pore over the fashion but sometimes you’re too busy watching the drama to focus on the details of the outfits.

So I’ll get started! Check this space for upcoming posts!

Twitter, you win!

I take back what I said in a previous post about twitter. I’m now officially on twitter and I’m a active twitter-er. Goodness, I update a few times a day! It’s actually pretty fun. Goodness me, I’m sucked into the hype as well. *laughs*

It started off as simply signing up to follow celebrities, friends and other people until I decide hey no harm if I sent out a tweet. And one led to another, and another and another..

So twitter, you win! You really do.

It’s finally finally Friday.

It’s sure been a week! Endless deadlines and lack of sleep. It’s all over, for now at least. I’m going to get off the computer and the internet soon. I keep trying to quit the internet but it’s so hard! Technology is really such a big part of life right now.

Anyway, I’m so glad it’s Friday. Do you know what I’m going to do? I’m going to dig out that chocolate cookie recipe I found some time back but never had the time to make and start baking. And then curl up somewhere with a book and a glass of milk. Ah.. Bliss.

I was in the library earlier digging up books to write up my research papers. Boring stuff but something that has to be done. *shrugs*

Sometimes I feel so tired and sucked dry from school especially when the assignments pile up and deadlines are all at one go. I think it’s time to head to the movies soon. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past looks good.

I’m not sure if you’ve seen this already but Joe Jonas did a parody of Beyonce’s Single Ladies music video. While tons have called it disturbing, I find it extremely hilarious. What do you think? Check it out!

Postcrossing and Archie picks Veronica!

Hey guys, I hope you’re doing well.

I can’t believe it’s June already. 2009 has been more rough of a year for me than 2008 was but I’m still good. It still seems as if time flew by though. Life is funny. Recently I’ve been thinking lots on future plans and I’m half decided and half confused. Praying to the Lord for guidance.

For Archie comic fans out there, what do you think of Archie choosing Veronica over Betty after so long? I just sighed. I love Betty! And I always wished that Archie would pick her. But deep down, all along I always had the niggling feeling that Veronica would win. Just like she always does. Tsk tsk. But Betty is so NICE! And while I like Veronica in her mean ways cuz she’s hilarious, I always felt girl next door Betty would be better! How about you? Should Veronica be the one Archie gets married to?

Also, I’ve recently been pretty interested in this project called Postcrossing. It’s super cool and I really want to try it. Basically what you do is sent a postcard to anyone in the world and you’ll receive one in return. Only you don’t know where it will come from so you get a surprise in your mailbox! Sounds fun, doesn’t it? I’ve already found out how much postage costs, now I want to get ready with some pretty envelopes. *grins with excitement*

OMG KRIS WON!!!

I was actually really surprised when I heard Kris Allen won! I guess I just really thought that Adam would win. But I’m really happy for him! *squeals and dances around*

Now I can’t wait till he releases his album! Adam too! The finale show was SO FANTASTIC! I was laughing the whole way through.

And the best part of the entire show? KARA DIOGUARDI. I never thought I’ll ever say this but Kara is totally forgiven. I take back everything I said about her simply because of what she did on the finale! Oh my gosh, she stole the show! I thought it was hilarious when she popped out singing but ripping her dress? *clap clap*

And Paula’s back! Long gorgeous gown with tons of bling and dancing away. I love Paula. I will update more soon I hope! There were plenty of good fashion choices on the finale night. I’ll blog more when I have the time and when more photos are uploaded on the net.

In the meantime, let’s just continue hopping around celebrating KRIS!

The Finale: Performance night!

Performance night was totally enjoyable with the exception of Kara who was being as annoying as usual. To be honest, by now, I’m so so sick of her. I really do hope she does not return for season 9. Anyway, season 8 was way way better than season 7! I mean, in terms of talent, people and everything! Both Adam and Kris are so good and I’ll just have to state again: to me, it really doesn’t matter who wins anymore. I love both performers. Unlike season 7, I was totally rooting for David Archuleta but this season? Both are equally talented.

Both finalists sang 3 songs each. My favourite had to be the first segment where Adam and Kris chose their favourite performance. I am incredibly happy that Adam chose Mad World and Kris chose Ain’t No Sunshine because I loved both performances from before (I’ve previously featured both performances on this blog. You can click here for Kris’ and here for Adam’s) and seeing it at the final performance is like rewatching my fave performances but even cooler!

I really liked what Adam wore with that coat and I loved the dry ice effect. I know the Simon said it was theatrical but that’s what I like about Adam! He’s theatrical and dramatic and crazy! Only he can pull off something like that and get away with it. If anyone else wore that and stood in the middle of some dry ice smoke, I’d probably laugh my head off.

When it was Kris’ turn, it was the exact opposite. While Adam is crazy, he is musically talented and sensitive. They really do balance each other out don’t they? But Kris who is much softer appeals to me as well! Kris is the type of singer where you just want to lie down, close your eyes, plug in your ear phones and listen to that voice. It’s comforting you know what I mean? Oh and I think his wife is adorable! I don’t know why, but she always seems so sweet whenever the camera lands on her. And I love her hair.

For the first segment, both win! I loved both performances! Unable to decide.

By the way, did anyone else notice what was up with Paula today? Normally she’s all dressed up but for the finale, she looks so toned down! I personally think Paula dresses up really well so it was kind of sad to see her all toned down but having said that, I did like green dress.

The second segment was a song chosen by Simon Fuller which was to me, the most boring of all three segments. Maybe it was the songs or something. Didn’t appeal much to me. Here are the performances anyway.

The last segment was the coronation song No Boundaries which Kara co-wrote with two other song writers. The song itself is not bad although not good enough to be a hit single for the winner I thought. But then again, with all the crap we hear these days, I’d settle for this.

Okay this one is kinda hard to pick. Overall, I would say that in terms of performance and singing, Adam would win this round. But I prefered Kris’ softer and lighter version of the song because it gave it something different than what one would expect. Having said that, I don’t believe this song was very fair. I mean, c’mon it was such a Adam song! The favour goes to him!

And that’s the end of my mini recap. My personal thoughts is that this season has been wonderful and Adam is truly one of the most entertaining performers ever. And I’m sad to see this season end but excited when both of them release their albums. I know I keep gushing about Adam but he’s really gushable sorry! When they both release albums though, I’ll get Kris’ one first. HAHA! See? I’m fair. For me, Adam is very good TV and very entertaining to watch, but to listen, I would go for Kris. And I cannot wait till he releases his album.

On a side note, I had this little thought in my head that American Idol is trying to push a Adam win. They keep praising him and that coronation song was a very Adam type song. Remember last season how they kept trying to push a David Archuleta win by praising him all the way and if I remembered correctly, David Cook had less complimentary comments? Will it work though this time round? I’m really really excited to find out.

Either way, may the best man win! Although you know I love them both. I leave you with this extremely adorable picture. Talk some more when the winner is announced!

Deadlines suck

Hi all, I’m currently taking a break from writing up an article for an assignment. It doesn’t even seem that difficult when I think about it. BUT! I have no idea whatsoever how to even START. Oh lordy, someone save me. I’m just hoping that some inspiration will pop into my head and I can actually begin. Because I know that once I begin, I can finish it within half an hour. Okay maybe 45 minutes.

It’s so extremely tiring and draining when you have a million and one deadlines and you don’t have the time or energy to pull yourself up and go “I can do this!”.

*BIG SIGH*

I know I sound so downright pathetic but hey I’ve been deprived of sleep lately. *yawns*

The funniest thing is, with all my whining and complaints, I actually have no regrets for going down this path. None whatsoever. I enjoy what I’m doing apart from the lack of sleep and way too many assignments. Alright, I shall return back to actually trying to come up with something. Wish me luck y’all!

P.S. I will update again later with my American Idol Finale reviews and comments! Because even with deadlines, American Idol takes priority! Hahaha.

The perfect showdown

You won’t know how glad I am that we’re going to have a ADAM-KRIS showdown. Or a KRIS-ADAM showdown, whichever way you prefer it. KRIS-ADAM sounds nicer actually. Once Ryan announced that Kris was in, I was like WHOOPEE! Since it’ll be impossible for Adam not to be in.

I like both Adam and Kris so for one thing, it’ll be a fantastic finale to watch and for another, it wouldn’t matter to me who won. If Adam wins, I’m happy. If Kris wins, I’m happy too. So it works out both ways.

And it’s down to three. :)

I love when reality shows get down to the last few finalists! It’s so exciting. On other non-Idol related news though, I’m SO GLAD Tammy and Victor won Amazing Race! Season 14 was really cool. I liked Tammy and Victor since the beginning but got annoyed at Victor halfway and liked them again after they started working together so well. Plus they were never rude and they never purposely tried to trick or ‘harm’ others like what some contestants did. Jaime is just plain scary. I mean, she just loves to yell doesn’t she? *shudders* And Margie and Luke who I thought were such nice people true colours finally showed near the end. Tsk tsk. What goes around does come around. They came in third although they were leading. I loved it when Tammy said “I’m not wearing any pants!” when she won. Hilarious. They deserved to win, they really did.

Moving on to Idol, my award for best performance would go to *drumroll* … KRIS! Although Adam comes in a VERY VERY close second. But Kris’ rendition of Apologize was so good! No matter what Kara says. Was it just me or was Kara being especially annoying and spouting more nonsense than she already does more than usual?

It’s so hard to pick because I loved loved loved Adam singing One. I liked it more than the original actually. I’m not a U2 fan and I don’t normally like their songs but Adam’s version was really cool.

As for Danny, *sigh* I have to say I really do like Danny, but I just don’t see him as an Idol. I’m sorry to say I want an Adam-Kris finale. Don’t kill me Danny fans!

One last thing before I go, I thought it was a refreshing change for Adam to wear light blue instead of black all the time. I liked his sorta new hair. Allison was smart to ask him for a recommendation for a hair stylist. Now I feel like visiting his hair stylist too. Oh and I really hope Idol won’t be bringing back Kara next season. She’s extremely annoying and lame and talks way too much and am I the only one who feels this way? I wish someone would just sorta slap some sense into her for the things she says sometimes or simply tape up her mouth. I know I’m being mean but c’mon!

I’ve been really tired due to school so I’m keeping this post short. Take care everyone and remember to vote! (Psst.. for KRIS! … Okay, ADAM too!)

American Idol: Rock Week!

Phew, I have so much to say about rock week! From the fashion choices to the performances to the duets and so on.. Read on!

Okay, firstly I HAVE to say it. Danny decided to do what Adam did last week and wore a colour that strayed away from what everyone else wore. While everyone decided to wear the standard black this week, Danny decided to wear RED. Oh dear me. Danny, you are so likable but you really shouldn’t have. Don’t get me wrong, I like Danny. He’s always smiling, he has a nice voice and he just really is likable. He’s one of those people who you just can’t hate. But I’ve always always had this thing about his fashion choices. Honestly though, red? RED? Who does he think he is? The Jonas brothers? Tsk tsk. Thank goodness he changed to that (slightly) better outfit later on.

But again, maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. Remember that white jacket he wore during country week? That thick white weird spacesuit like jacket?

But this red shirt takes the cake. Oh Danny.

Another one is Adam. When he walked out, I was like WHAT IS THAT? What in the world is he wearing? It was so weird! Too much I thought.

Ah, but someone I am so proud of. Allison. This girl has been improving by leaps and bounds (in terms of style since she’s always been good at singing) and she’s really growing on me. She looked adorable by the way! I LOVE her new hair. That was a job well done.

Speaking of Allison, surprise surprise, she was my favourite individual performance this week! If you’ve been reading my previous posts, you would notice that I’m a Adam fan but this week I wasn’t so impressed by Adam. It was good although not as great as the judges said it was. I know the judges totally put Allison down but I’ll stand by my opinion. I liked hers the most.

I like the duets that was introduced! When I heard Danny’s and Kris’ duet, I liked it. It was not bad. And although Danny was better than Kris, I wish Simon didn’t make it so awkward by saying it just like that. Did you see how uncomfortable Danny look? But in terms of the two duets, Adam’s and Allison’s duet won hands down for me! It was really good. They sound nice individually but just as good together! I agreed with Randy when he said they should do a duet for their future albums. Now, that’s a nice thought.

The last thing before I end is to say that unlike that awkwardness between Danny and Kris after their duet, Adam and Allison had the exact opposite feel. They were adorable! They really looked like a super cute brother and sister with their smiling faces and rock dressing. (Adam changed to a much less weird outfit too.)

And that’s Rock Week for you. I wonder what will happen next. I love this show!
